Quick malai chicken Handi


Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken, cubed
  • Yogurt
  • Ginger-garlic green chilli paste 
  • Garam masala, coriander-cumin powder 
  • Fresh cream
  • Salt to taste
  • White pepper powder
  • Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter 
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut 

For tadka

    Ghee

    Sliced onions 

    Cumin seeds

    Curry leaves 


Method

Marinate chicken with yoghurt, cream, ginger garlic green chilli paste, cumin-coriander powder, salt, garam masala powder, white pepper powder, lemon juice for 15-20 minutes.


In a Kadhai, add butter and oil. Then add marinated chicken. Let it cook for 18-20 minutes. Once the chicken is cooked add desiccated coconut and mix well.


For the tadka, add ghee and onions. Once the onions get browned, then add cumin seeds and curry leaves.


Add the tadka into the chicken gravy and mix well. Serve with roti and naan.
